01 DESIGN FOR RENOVATION

Whether you’re looking to renovate a kitchen/bathroom or execute complete home renovation, our design for renovation and remodel service delivers a complete design for your space from concept all the way to installation. We work with local trade resources, vendors to ensure the design is executed according to plan. Our process is personal, interactive and collaborative.

02 FURNISHING & STYLING

Revitalize your space with our furniture, decor, and styling service. Julian Mensah Interiors guides you in selecting ideal pieces from our diverse vendor list, transforming your space to reflect your lifestyle.

We manage everything from design to purchasing, concluding with final installation and styling.

03 DESIGN CONSULTATION

Perfect for design beginners, our consultation guides clients starting a design journey. Ask questions, receive feedback on space plans and review materials. By the end, you'll have a clear vision and plan to kickstart your project.

Do you just need a design without the support of purchasing or project coordination? We can also provide a comprehensive design package that outlines every source and detail for you to order implement the furnishing design on your own and at your own pace.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

The design process at Julian Mensah Interiors is personal, interactive and collaborative.

  • During this paid consultation, we discuss your personal style and tastes, needs and wants. We evaluate your existing design elements and the character of your space which, in combination with the input you have provided and your specific budget, will help us formulate a tailored design plan along with a formal design fee proposal.

    Our consultations start at $250 For a 1-hour Virtual Session or $400 for an in person session up to 2-hours.

  • During this phase, we will determine the look & feel of your new space to ensure we are on the right track. We will prepare the preliminary plans, elevations, select preliminary finishes and produce some direction for furniture and lighting. At the Conceptual Design presentation, you’ll review and approve inspiration boards and initial design selections, too.

  • In the design development phase, we get ready to turn approved ideas into concrete selections. We source every furnishing and material and then create detailed floor plans, elevation drawings, moodboards, and 3D renderings. All of this is presented along with an itemized proposal to create a complete picture of your design.

  • We offer complete purchasing as well as the coordination for storage and delivery for items for clients. This may include finishes and material such as tile, stone, millwork, plumbing fixtures and furniture items. Delivery and storage fees will be the responsibility of the client.

  • This is the phase where we make sure everything goes according to plan. We will review technical drawings from vendors, visit the site to ensure design intent is actualized. Upon request, we may recommend a contractor to help you execute the project of meet with any you have in mind.

  • Our favourite step, this is where the magic happens! We bring everything into your new space, placing and styling it all. Depending on the size of your project it can take between one and five days. From there we leave you to enjoy your new home.
